So I've had a horrible niggling urge to dust off my Wii and play my favourite Gamecube game as of late - Metroid Prime. Some thoughts on that 9 years after it's release should be a good giggle. I got Sonic Colours for Xmas as well and have yet to bother to play it, so I should do that as well...
Anyway, Prime is easily high on my 'favourite games EVAR' list, and for the sake of conversation, I want y'all to tell me about YOUR favourite games!
Gimme a 1 to 5 and whys, detailed whys about one game, whatever. I'm intrigued :D
1- Final Fantast VII - It was got me drawing, got me gaming properly and into the saga. I've never found it boring despite having played it to death.
ReplyDelete2 -Final Fantasy VIII - I love the fantasy, the romance, the music. I can sit and watch some one play it for hours or just load it up to play the card game!
3 - Resident Evil - Despite not bieng very good at them, I love a good resi, preferably the game cube releases in honesty I'm better at those and I think the modern ones have lost the horror/puzzle factor.
4 - Pokemon Games - I just adore throwing tennis sized bals at a vast array of animals and making them do my bidding. It never gets old.
5 - Rockband - It gives me a bit of confidence and brings back good memories :3
Could also do with putting mine up, that'd be an idea XD
ReplyDelete1. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - As cliche as it is, I genuinley adore the game. Wasn't a big Zelda nut before it but I sure as hell was after that one
2. Metroid Prime - Taking one of my favourite series and tipping it on it's head, I wasn't sure I was going to like Prime at first. Blew my socks off though when I got hold of it. Made me focus in on creatures and their design a bit more, and I got a great appreciation for huge bosses. Also, Phendrana Drifts is possibly the best tundra-based level ever made.
3. Final Fantasy VIII - First FF I properly sat down and played and it's stuck with me ever since. I do admitadly really like the Junction system, funnily enough O.o. This could easily have been FF X instead, but VIII came first. So there.
4. Mass Effect 2 - Fairly new one, but I love the shit out of this game now. Played the first game after a quick blast on 2, and you can see just how streamlined and quite honestly more fun it is to play. Awesome amount of lore for a game as well, not on par with Halo but still
And, just for one from left field:
5. Skies of Arcadia: Legends - Not a well known Gamecube RPG but it should be. Pirates that sail floating ships wielding lightsabre-like cutlasses and boomerangs. What's not to like!?
Honorable Mention: Halo 3 - Just cuz the multiplayer was such a central part of my life for so long. I could say the same of Guitar Hero 3, but far more people would actually play me on Halo :(
